From 2013 to 2018, Simon made four trips to Cambodia, pen and paintbrush at hand, diving into the magic of temples and jungles and bringing back a colorful tale in words and pictures. His latest book explores new textures and a broad array of colors to capture tropical profusion. He also sounds the alarm, juxtaposing a brilliant, vanished civilization with today’s world, caught between crises of climate, the environment, and migration.
Like Simon, Patrick Dufossé loves trees and rocks. He enhances the pages of this book with poems that combine art, ecological, and poetic awareness.
