Rediscovering the splendor of a masterpiece through its restoration.

A hallmark of artistic production from the French Renaissance, the Triptych of the Glorious Virgin, created around 1498 by Jean Hey, underwent an exceptional restoration between 2022 and 2025. Carried out by the Research and Restoration Center for French Museums (C2RMF) by a scientific committee of specialists in conservation, restoration, and 15th-century painting, the project revealed the secrets of Jean Hey’s creative process and revived the original richness of the composition.
