Amiens, 1883: a mysterious "gentleman burglar" is robbing the town's upper crust and redistributing the wealth to the needy, spurring admiration and controversy. When a hideous crime is attributed to him, the town is turned upside down. Young reporter Lucien Carambel turns to Jules Verne for help exculpating the thief. But when the thief poses as Verne to pull off a spectacular heist, the writer's reputation is compromised. Now, the real Verne must do all he can to find the culprits and clear his own name.
