From his office, editor Alexandre Garnier contemplates the typhoon devastating Paris. Faced with this apocalyptic spectacle, Garnier recalls poet Adrien Vivonne, whom he published until the man mysteriously vanished.
All over Europe, countries are balkanized by climate change and militias clash while mounting cyberattack inspire fears of a Great Crash. Garnier tries to locate Vivonne before everything falls apart. Is it possible, as more and more readers seem to believe in the general chaos, that Vivonne found a way to escape to a more peaceful world, and that the solution for doing so lies at the heart of his poems?
