Paris. Midnight. Emergency response line. Intern Eleni receives a disturbing anonymous tip. A witness claims to have glimpsed a strange statue in the courtyard of the Palais Royal. At the scene, horrified officers find a young woman's body macabrely mutilated to resemble a bust of Athena. They soon find a second body at the foot of the statue of Artemis in the Jardin du Luxembourg, just as terrifyingly transformed into a work of art.
To her horror, Eleni recognizes both victims: like her, they belonged to a women's trauma support group. Guided by her instinct and an encyclopedic knowledge of Greek mythology, she leaps into a frenzied manhunt to put a stop to these murders. But her investigation takes an unexpected turn when she discovers that her own past is intimately bound up with the killer's.
As Paris descends into fear, time is of the essence. The killer prepares to unveil his masterpiece: a work to which Eleni could prove the finishing touch.
