Lyon detective and criminologist Teddy Schaffran learns his daughter Morgane's body has been found in the remote northern Quebec mining town of Norferville. When Teddy goes there to find out what happened, he meets Léonie Rock, a lieutenant in Major Crimes. As a woman of mixed heritage, she is familiar with the tensions that can exist between whites and Natives, and the difficult life led by the Innu people.
In a hostile environment where temperatures approach -20°C, the two of them will find justice for Morgane, and for the dozens of Innu, Mi'kmaq, Inuit, and Cree women she tried to save.
