Greenwich, England, 1843. A famous explorer leads a polar expedition with the official mission of finding the Northwest Passage. Two years later, having received no news from him, his wife Lady Franklin organizes a new expedition to go looking for him, bringing along an old admiral and her clairvoyant niece. She discovers that her husband has in fact gone to a mythical island where the dead are said to come back to life. Who was he trying to resurrect?
