An investigation set during the last 30 years of the Hundred Years’ War.

France, 1446. The young Audouin V succeeds his uncle and godfather, Audouin IV Joumard "The Defamed One." As the latter rose up against the French king, he was defamed and his weapons and coats of arms were withdrawn. On the battlefield, the young Audouin must restore his family’s honor. When he discovers that his uncle was murdered, he decides to investigate and punish the guilty party, never guessing that this quest for the truth will lead him to the depths of his uncle’s dark and tormented soul.
