Christian, an Italian adolescent whose violent father left home and whose mother is ill, hangs out with a group of youngsters in a suburb near the sea. The little gang raises hell, racing through the streets on their deafening mopeds. Then Christian’s mother dies, and his older brother is imprisoned following a fight. When social services threaten to take him under their wing, he runs away and meets a kind shepherd who offers him his hospitality.
