You will not discover the real life of Chagall here. This is a fabulous Jewish tale, whose hero is called Chagall. He lives in a shtetl in Tsarist Russia, at the dawn of the Revolution. He is young and in love. But he is also a painter, and the father of the one he loves wants "a good Jew with a good job" for his daughter. Should he leave his love, or painting? Chagall will ask the rabbi and pace up and down a big theater of the absurd among madmen, barbarians, and friends.
