The concept of associations for the preservation of small-scale farming was imported from the United States by Daniel and Denise Vuillon, a pair of French organic farmers. In 2001, they were the first in France to develop a system of direct relationships between producers and consumers. This is the story of their struggles from the 1980s to the present day against evictions, large-scale distribution, and junk food, in favor of organic products and the dignity of farmers. A plea for healthy, diverse, environmentally-friendly food and a social economy in the form of a graphic novel.
