Intrigued by the equality gap between women and men in law and the economic disparities observed during conjugal separations and inheritances, sociologists Céline Bessière and Sibylle Gollac followed couples and siblings through law firms, notary offices, and courthouses. This investigation enabled them to analyze the mechanisms leading to inequities of inheritance not only inside families of diverse class backgrounds, but also between women and men from the same family. Today, they deliver this graphic novel inspired by their research.
