Seventy-five-year-old Mauricette Beaussart, vanished from the hospital where she was being treated for her mental illness. Her friend Christophe Moreel set out to find her. In the course of his quest, Mauricette's past and present intertwine, gradually forming a portrait of a woman with a wealth of great suffering and small joys.
