Psychiatry directly affects 1.8 million people in France. For every 1,000, 1 is forcibly interned, a system resulting in social exclusion and stigmatization.

Interned at 16, Christelle Rosar went from one hospital to another for the next two decades. She was strapped down, injected with drugs, and kept in a heavily medicated stupor. She saw patients stay in hospitals from their teens until they died, while others slowly succumbed to side effects from their treatments. Now freed, she tells the story of her struggle to regain autonomy and find her place in society.
