Here is a picture book to be read two ways. The same story is told from two different points of view: a chickadee's and a woodpecker's. Born far apart, they nevertheless live much the same way... each in their own way! They each have the same needs: food, shelter, socialization. But in different ways.
The story is sturctured as a mirror, with every step of the encounter between the two birds narrated by each one separately, starting from different ends of the book. Neither point of view predominates, and readers can start with either's story, as both come to one and the same conclusion: a happy ending meeting right in the middle (of the book)!
