Forced into a road trip with a has-been surfer: this wasn't the wonderful summer that aspiring photographer Prudence had planned. But fleeing her own failed entrance exam, a boyfriend who's avoiding her, and a sister who wants her to babysit drooling infants for the rest of her life, hypersensitive Prudence grabs at the first excuse to ditch everything. She winds up stuck in a van with a dad with impeccables pecs named Denis (but he wants to be called Dylan). He lives, breathes, and dreams surfing. All Prudence thinks about is her love life, her shattered hopes, her distant friends... Will she survive three months photographing Denis/Dylan from every angle to feed her Instagram with golden filters and clichéd hashtags?
