At Mr. Victor's massage parlor, Waan enjoys favored status. Is it because Mr. Victor watched her grow up? Ever since she was a girl, Waan has been grateful to Mr. Victor for saving her from the tragic fate awaiting most orphans like her in Thailand. But all protection comes at a price, and for a few weeks now, Waan has felt a vague unease. There is a minister harassing her with questions, and a reporter whose visits she looks forward to more eagerly than she'd like to admit. Above all, there are Mr. Victor's silences. He seems to be hiding his past behind the salon's dark wall hangings. Waan hatches a plan to escape and leave all this behind. But will she even have a choice?
