Today in France, we have the right to housing, education, going on strike, protesting, paid vacations, and choosing whom we marry. Women have the right to vote and to abortion. Slavery has been abolished, along with capital punishment.
These rights were hard-won, often at great cost, through the efforts of men and women who paid in blood. Today, these rights are being abused, threatened, undermined.
This work recounts the histories of these ten rights as a call to action: these rights are precious, and must be protected!
