The tale of a commoner and a writer in the age of Corneille: a literary vaudeville.

The story takes place in 1650. Marie is eleven years old. An orphan and a commoner, she is taken in by the Baron and Baroness of Rochecourt. Raised with their children, she learns to read and write. She loves the theater and writes a comic play in alexandrines about life in the castle. One day, the baron announces the arrival of Pierre Corneille.
