A French national and naturalized US citizen, Tony Parker is legitimately considered one of the world’s best basketball players of all time. Trained in France, he began his career in 1999 at Paris Basket Rising (France). Two years later, he joined the NBA's San Antonio Spurs for 17 seasons and the Charlotte Hornets for the 2018-2019 season. Over 18 years at the NBA, he won the NBA champion title 4 times, was the first European player to receive the NBA Finals Most Valuable Player Award, and was named to NBA All-Star games 6 times, as well as the all-NBA Second Team 3 times, and the All-NBA third team. In 2015, he became the EuroBasket Competition's all-time leading scorer.
