Every year, nine-year-old Juma spends vacation with the Huni Kuin Indian tribe in a small village deep in the Amazon rainorest, where her mother was born.
First, readers will meet Juma's relatives on her mother's side. Then they will follow her through the rainforest, learning about exotic fruit, trees, and animals. Last but not least, they will discover the ancestral traditions of her family, such as featherwork and body painting.
