Albert and his cat Whiskers love to spend the day watching the Gardeners plant, water, and harvest. Twin brothers Edgar and Gaspard are financiers who'd rather grow money than plants. Without telling a soul, they start carrying out their diabolical plan: introducing the dangerous genetically modified seeds, crushing plants with their Mechanical Gardeners and Mechanical Caterpillars, which wants to wallpaper over the entire Earth! The Gardeners take refuge in what's left of their original vegetable patch. Outlaws now, they swap banned seeds and heirloom vegetables in secret.
