How can we survive when the world is falling apart?

With the earth's climate gone off the rails, temperatures in France often reach 104°F during the day and rarely drop at night. Electricity is unreliable; resources have run out. Aerosol drones are always in the air, and citizens are forced to take climate refugees into their homes. This is how teenaged Thiago and his family come to shelter a father and his son whose island is now underwater. Now avoiding his own home whenever he can, Thiago meets a strange man, Ötzi, who is visibly afflicted with a strange virus that is gradually driving him insane. When he is infected, the refugees at his home seem to be the only ones able to help him.
