Jacqueline is only seven when World War II breaks out. And her father is a military man. She must now deal with his absence, awaiting his return and enduring hardships she never would have imagined. Trailing her mother around like her shadow, never quite grasping what’s going on, Jacqueline will cross France to smuggler her father from prison then help him get to the free zone.
