The Zzli brothers come from very, very far away. Their journey here was long and fraught with peril. A little girl, Bienvenue puts them up in her house. From then on, the air is filled with laughter and the smell of crepes. The brothers have fixed the swingset in the backyard and set up beehives.
Soon, the neighbors are complaining. Then the house burns down! Bienvenue and the Zzli brothers leave the forest for good. But together, they will surely find a place to take them in.
With detailed, colorful illustrations from Anne-Lise Boutin, Alex Cousseau explores migrants and the welcome we give them, a topic well-suited to young readers.
