After "hunger strikes" in 2008 mobilized the international community, a consensus emerged: food security was not just a matter of production quantity and developmental issues, but also had to take into account health, social, climate, and environmental concerns. Call it a new green revolution, a radical diversification of foodstuffs, or transversal interventions in in health and social protection sectors, no approach can now afford to overlook the power dynamics among parties involved in different food supply systems.
