Political philosopher and committed feminist Réjane Sénac challenges the conventional notions of equality as a myth to be deconstructed in order to work towards an unconditional equality: beyond gender, social, ethnic, and racial origins; and religious or sexual preference. Sénac critiques the motto of the French republic, demonstrating that equality can only exist if it is freed from empty talk about the performance of diversity. Women must be equal to men in principle, not because they bring something more to the table.
