1928, U.S.A: Betty Robinson is running to catch her train. That day, her life will be turned upside-down, for in one of the train cars is the coach of her high school's sports club. Impressed by her speed, he spots her extraordinary potential right away. Just one problem: the club is for boys only. For Betty, then, a struggle begins: against society and against herself, a race to reach her dreams and become the first female Olympic champion in track and field.
