When funding for a Parisian suburb's soccer club is halved, administrators decide to sacrifice the women's team.

For Barbara, the captain of Rosigny's all-girl team, the Roses, soccer is more important than high school. The girls give their all for the championship, and she's not about to let her relationship with the good-looking Bilal make her miss a practice. When the club's funding is drastically cut, the president decides to bet everything on the men's team, withdrawing the Roses from competition. Barbara is stunned by this injustice and suggests another way of deciding the matter: pitting the boys against the girls.
