A sociolinguistic approach to the female condition.

How do women speak? When amongst themselves? When spoken to? And how are they spoken of? Do men and women speak the same language? What role do sexual metaphors, denigrating connotations, and sexually charged insults play in maintaining a sexist ideology? This study explores the sexual diversity of language as a cultural, rather than "natural" phenomenon.
