Born in Ukraine in 2008, the Femen movement, is known for its "topless" protests to denounce violence against women’s bodies in abuse, trafficking, and rape. In 2012, Inna was the subject of a criminal investigation by the Ukrainian police. She left her country and obtained poli tical asylum in France in April 2013. She was 23 years old at the time.
