Elia and Garth fall in love. One is Catholic, the other is Jewish. They decide to get married despite their differences.

It's the 1950’s. Elia is a young student and hopeless romantic. When she meets Garth, an older student, she falls for him immediately. Sincere and respectful, he promises her that as soon as she's 18, he'll marry her. However, before they commit, Garth tells Elia that he's Jewish. But that's not a problem for Elia. So they get married… and Elia soon begins to understand the antagonism between the two families, one Jewish and the other Catholic. Before long, a drama brings their differences into sharp relief!
