Breathing Bark

In the heart of a rural area, when a man from the city sets fire to the farm where he'd hoped to see his children play one day, he triggers hostilities amongst the locals as age-old prejudices and resentment rear their heads.

Out in a rugged and remote area of France, an outsider has just burnt down a farm before disappearing into the woods. While he roams the forest, the attitude of the locals turns from wariness into outright hostility, with the exception of a newly arrived young woman who takes him in. Together they set out to reawaken the land and return it to its original wild state. But anyone who wasn't born here is an intruder and anyone who respects nature without seeking to possess or subjugate it is considered a threat.
