A poetic picture book to gets kids looking at trees in a new light, and conserving them.

This book's narrator is a big tall tree. It tells us about everything it's seen around itself over the seasons, ever since it was first planted. And then one day, men from the city with their hard hats came calling. The little park was being renovated: surely they'd make it bigger, add a slide or a bench, replant some flowers. Two of them approached the hundred year-old plane tree, with its huge trunk rising high into the sky... and the inconceivable happened. A witness to weather, love, and daily life around him, the venerable tree will sadly not get the respect it deserves...
