Over the last few years, nature-loving Troubs has taken several trips to Lebanon, a country stuck in a permanent cycle of destruction and reconstruction. Along the way, he starts up a conversation with the birds he encounters. Together, they discuss the evolution of nature in France and Lebanon and the impact of climate change on the birds’ way of life. On his walks, Troubs relates the history of Beirut, where despite wars and destruction, nature manages to adapt and even come back into its own. A redemptive book full of poetry.
