Alma is a charismatic young Argentinian actress who's done well for herself: raised in a poor district of Buenos Aires, she now plays the lead in a wildly successful TV series. Claire lives in Paris with her son and makes her living as an actress, mostly working in the shadows as voice talent for animated films. When Claire is signed to dub Alma, her life takes an unexpected turn. As Alma’s French voice, Claire becomes fascinated by this ambitious young woman and starts to bloom. On an impulse, she decides to cross the ocean and meet her. On the Atlantic shores of northern Brazil, both of them come face to face with their own failings as well as their family lies and secrets.
