Wrongly accused, a wanted man flees Moscow, clinging to the underside of a train car. For young Yuri Serkovich, along journey full of dangers has begun aboard the famous Trans-Siberian Railway. As he crosses the Ural Mountains, then birch forests and steppes, the teenager's journey becomes more complicated. His fellow travelers -- Russian railroad workers, a young female laborer -- each make up their own minds, in charge of their own destinies. They all understand one thing: hunters never give up.
